Seth Martinez of the Albuquerque Sidewinders said he never set out to win the Pacific Coast League Reliever of the Year Award this season, but he'll certainly take it.

"2023 was a pretty good year for me, that much is obvious," he said. "This is icing on the cake."

The 29-year-old out of Peoria, Arizona fashioned a 1.91 ERA this season over 80 innings of work. He made 50 relief appearances and had 9 saves, 67 strikeouts, 20 walks and a record of 3 wins and 1 loss.

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 12. Evan Marshall of the Hawaii Typhoon finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Cole Sulser of the Berkeley Blaze finished third.
