Reyes Named Top Reliever for EL Wednesday, October 11th , 2023 Albany Ambassadors reliever Alex Reyes said he loves to come into the game when the outcome is in jeopardy. He certainly did a good job of impacting his team's outcomes this season, as he has been named the winner of the 2023 Reliever of the Year Award for the Eastern League. "There's no better feeling than running in from the bullpen with the game on the line and your heart pumping," Reyes said. On the season, the Elizabeth, New Jersey native had 3 saves in 38 relief appearances, 75 strikeouts in 57.1 innings and a record of 6 wins and no losses to go with his 0.78 ERA. He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 12. Colby White of the Reading Roughnecks finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Jack Dashwood of the Canton Cutters finished third.
