Standout Season For Workman, Wins Car Outstanding Hitter Award
Thursday, October 12th , 2023
The manager of the Kingston Buccaneers said he thinks Gage Workman is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 23, but it will be hard to top the shortstop's 2023 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Carolina League Outstanding Hitter Award.

His winning campaign featured a .300 batting average and a .390 on-base percentage this year. In 118 games he piled up 139 hits, 33 doubles, 4 triples, 18 home runs, 63 RBIs and 84 runs scored.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 10. Dane Myers of the Prince William Panthers finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Andrew Yerzy of the Kingston Buccaneers finished third with 2 first place votes.
