NYP Outstanding Hitter Award Goes To Boone Thursday, October 12th , 2023 The future looks extremely bright for Trevor Boone. At the age of 26, many players are still trying to find their way in New York-Penn. Boone has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the New York-Penn Outstanding Hitter Award. "I didn't expect to hit .364 this year, that's for sure," the right fielder said. The Princeton Tigers star also put up a .440 on-base percentage this year, with 76 hits, 19 doubles, 1 triple, 11 home runs, 55 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 12. Jase Bowen of the Brooklyn Cyclones finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Jose Cuas of the Utica Blue Sox finished third.
