The Seattle Sting trumped the Phoenix Firebirds, 5-1, at Chase Field. Seattle left fielder Corbin Carroll was terrific. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The loss makes Phoenix 29-20.

Seattle took a 5-1 lead on Carroll's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Justin Slaten in the top of the seventh, propelled Seattle to the win.

Carroll attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
