Diamonds Get Clutch Win, 8-7
|
It was pandemonium at Angel Stadium of Anaheim after an exciting walk-off win.
The Anaheim Diamonds had to overcome a big game from Pittsburgh center fielder Vidal Brujan to leave Angel Stadium of Anaheim with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-7. Brujan went 3 for 7 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win belonged to Hunter Harvey in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Kevin Kelly took the loss for Pittsburgh.
The Diamonds got a clutch hit from center fielder Jake Mangum. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Diamonds.
"He who laughs last laughs best," Mangum said, postgame.
The last-place Diamonds have won 4 straight games.
