Sluggers Tuck Away 7-1 Win Over Portland
The St Louis Sluggers defeated the Portland Jaguars, 7-1. Doing his part was first baseman Triston Casas, who was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Jameson Taillon, who is tied for 7th in the FL with a 1.10 WHIP, was the winner. He's now 3-3. The loser was Erick Fedde. The win gives St Louis a season record of 29-24.

With St Louis trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Casas hit a cutter from Erick Fedde for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Sluggers ahead, 3-1.

Casas told a St Louis Today reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
