PoorBoys Hand Boston 5-3 Loss
|
Montreal pitcher Zack Littell had a large part in his team beating the Boston Minutemen, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Littell, now 4-4. He tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Montreal now sits at 24-30, while Boston falls to 28-26.
Jo Adell had a big 2-run home run for the PoorBoys in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Montreal leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a slider from Kyle Bradish, who is tied for 4th in the FL in innings pitched with 67.0, and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the PoorBoys on top, 5-2.
Adell called the win "a team effort."
