St Louis Gets 3-2 Win
|
St Louis turned a good performance from starting pitcher Cristopher Sanchez into a 3-2 triumph over the Toronto Hogs at Sony Park. Sanchez, now 2-3, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. The save was Robert Garcia's, his 13th.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Omar Narvaez? The St Louis catcher had a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sluggers on top, 1-0. For the game, Narvaez had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"When Cristopher is on, he can really move the ball around," said St Louis manager John Hawkins.
St Louis goes to 31-26, Toronto to 27-30.
