Texas starter Jose Berrios pitched well against the Carolina Riptides at Pepsi Dome. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. With this game in the books, Texas is 26-32, Carolina 31-27.

The Vipers got a clutch hit from shortstop Jake Cronenworth. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Vipers.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Texas manager Pete Seto. "It's usually not just one thing."
