Chicago Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Chicago Explorers handed the Minnesota Millers a 3-1 defeat at Baron's Ballyard. Third Baseman Brian Anderson starred for Chicago. He was 2 for 2 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Chicago is 33-27 and Minnesota, with the loss, 31-29.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Anderson hit a fastball from Dylan Lee for a 2-run home run. The Explorers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Anderson.
