Denver Nets 7-6 Win Versus Roses
|
Behind the hitting of Ryan Jeffers, the Denver Bears stopped the Oakland Roses, 7-6, in 15 innings. Jeffers was 5 for 7 with a home run, a double, 3 singles, and a walk for the Bears. Ron Marinaccio, 5-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. The Bears now have a record of 34-27 with the win over Oakland.
Denver used a timely hit from Enmanuel Valdez to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 15th inning to put the Bears ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 7 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We earned that one," said Jeffers.
