Bears Snatch 3-2 Win
|
The Denver Bears earned a close win over the Oakland Roses, thanks in part to Brady Singer. The Denver right-hander, who leads the FL in complete games with 1, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. A.J. Puk picked up the save for Denver, his 11th of the year. Denver is now 35-28, while Oakland is 29-34.
Carlos Santana, who finished 4th in the UL in on-base percentage with .414 in 2018, had a direct impact on the outcome. Santana contributed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put Denver up, 3-0.
"That's baseball," said Oakland manager Heath Hunt. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
