Bears Get One-Run Win at Chicago
|
Denver beat Chicago at Baron's Ballyard, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to second baseman Jonathan India. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. Denver is now 31-34, Chicago 24-41.
Denver used a clutch at-bat from Carlos Correa to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bears ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Chicago manager Rock Carpenter. "The effort was great."
