Dragons Stumble, Lose to Jaguars
With center fielder Julio Rodriguez leading the charge, the Portland Jaguars defeated the San Francisco Dragons, 13-4, at Pac Bell Park. Rodriguez, who is tied for 2nd in the UL in hits with 81, was 3-6 with 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jared Shuster, the winner, goes to 3-7. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts over 5.1 innings. With the win over San Francisco, the Jaguars improved to 26-39.

Portland used a clutch at-bat from Max Kepler to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Jaguars ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said San Francisco manager Joe Turnage. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
