Riptides Topple Hogs, 9-1, as Blanco Shines
Sony Park was the site for Union League action featuring the Toronto Hogs and Carolina Riptides.

Riding the 3-hit performance of the 32-year old left fielder Dairon Blanco, the Carolina Riptides defeated the Toronto Hogs, 9-1. With the win, Carolina raised its record to 34-31.

With Carolina leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Blanco hit a sinker from Kevin Gausman for a run-scoring double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Riptides ahead, 3-1.

Said losing manager Anthony Cepparulo: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
