Hogs Send Carolina Home with 3-0 Loss
Toronto used a superb performance from starting pitcher Nick Lodolo to down the Carolina Riptides, 3-0. Lodolo, the winner, moves to 4-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. Kenley Jansen notched his 12th save in 15 chances.

Christian Yelich had a big solo home run for the Hogs in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Toronto leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 34-year old right-handed pitcher Pierce Johnson and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Hogs on top, 2-0.

Yelich called it "a solid win."
