Phalanx Deal Baltimore 4-3 Defeat
|
No one was more impactful than Mike Tauchman in the 4-3 Philadelphia win over Baltimore. Tauchman, who finished 4th in the FL in stolen bases with 20 in 2022, went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. Logan Allen picked up the win, lifting his record to 3-6 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 0 in 5 innings, while yielding 3 runs. Lucas Erceg, credited with the save, is now 4 for 6 in save opportunities.
Philadelphia used the hitting of Will Benson to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Phalanx on top, 4-2. For the game, Benson had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I felt good up there," said Tauchman. "I saw the ball well."
Baltimore now owns a losing streak of 6 games.
