Despite a fine performance by first baseman Carter Kieboom, the Los Angeles Spirit lost to the Anaheim Diamonds, 7-6. Kieboom was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times. Mike Clevinger snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 2 innings. He's now 2-3 on the season. Bryan Abreu recorded the save, his 2nd.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Willi Castro? The Anaheim second baseman had a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Diamonds on top, 4-0. For the game, Castro had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Castro told a Anaheim Observer reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."

The Diamonds have now won 4 straight.
