The Pittsburgh Ironmen picked up a win at PNC Park, downing the Oakland Roses, 1-0. On the mound for Pittsburgh was left-hander Tanner Tully, who played a pivotal role in the win. The 4th-place Roses have lost 4 straight games.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Ironmen had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when first baseman Seth Brown hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Steve Matz and made the score 1-0, Ironmen. Brown went 1-3.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Tully.
