Jeffers Helps Denver Outscore Houston
The rain came, as predicted, but the Denver Bears and Houston Titans were able to complete their ballgame.

No one was more impactful than Ryan Jeffers in the 12-11 Denver win over Houston. Jeffers was 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Ryan Helsley claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 2-6.

Denver used the clutch hitting of Nick Gordon to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Bears the lead, 12-11. For the game, Gordon had 1 single and 1 double in 6 at-bats.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Gordon said.
