Brent Rooker was a vital contributor to the 10-5 Texas victory over Chicago. The Vipers designated hitter was 2 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. By defeating Chicago, the third-place Vipers improved to 31-38.
