Ironmen Earn 4-3 Win Versus Roses
With right fielder Pavin Smith leading the charge, the Pittsburgh Ironmen defeated the Oakland Roses, 4-3, at PNC Park. Smith was 4-5 with 4 singles. Enyel De Los Santos picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Fernando Cruz suffered the loss. With the win, Pittsburgh upped its record to 39-30.

The decisive blow was delivered by Gleyber Torres in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 35-year old right-handed pitcher Fernando Cruz to win the game for Pittsburgh. The home crowd went nuts.

Smith called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
