Carolina Riptides starter Dylan Cease hurled his team past the Georgia Bulldogs, 3-2. Matt Brash locked down his 2nd save. The victory gives the Riptides a record of 41-31.
The Riptides got a big at-bat from right fielder Wilyer Abreu. For the game, Abreu was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 16th home run of the season gave Carolina a 3-2 lead.
"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Cease.
