The Boston Minutemen weathered a fine game by Anaheim shortstop Taylor Walls to upend the Diamonds, 5-4, at Fenway Park. Walls went 3-4 with a home run and a double. Reliever Beau Brieske picked up the win. His record improves to 5-2. Trevor Rogers, who finished 3rd in the UL in wins with 15 in 2022, took the loss. Ben Joyce, credited with the save, is now 4 for 6 in save opportunities.

The Minutemen got a big at-bat from left fielder Randy Arozarena. For the game, Arozarena was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 16th double of the season gave Boston a 4-2 lead.

In postgame comments to the Boston Herald, Arozarena said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

Boston is now 35-36, Anaheim 33-38.
