Snakeyes Prevail, 1-0, Over Boston
|
San Diego starter Sonny Gray pitched well against the Boston Minutemen at Fenway Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 1-0. Thomas Szapucki was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 4 save opportunities. The loss makes Boston 38-34.
San Diego won the game in part because of Brandon Marsh. The center fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Snakeyes ahead, 1-0. For the game, Marsh had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Boston manager Tony Byrne.
