The bats were silent much of the day at Toyota Field. But 25-year old second baseman Matthew Lugo produced just enough offense to carry the PoorBoys past the Baltimore Wildcats, 3-2. Lugo hit 2 home runs. The win belonged to Edwin Uceta in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Gerrit Cole took the loss for Baltimore. Montreal goes to 29-45, Baltimore to 31-43.

Lugo had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 fastball from Gerrit Cole, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the PoorBoys a 2-1 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Lugo.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Lugo.
