Sluggers Rally Late to Clip Chicago
Fans watched the St Louis Sluggers and the Chicago Explorers fight to the finish.

The St Louis Sluggers, despite a fine performance by Chicago pitcher Shota Imanaga, grabbed a 3-2 win at Busch Stadium. Imanaga allowed no runs over 7.1 innings. St Louis goes to 42-33. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.

Shay Whitcomb was the walk-off hero for St Louis. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sluggers pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Chicago manager Rock Carpenter. "The effort was great."
