8-3 Loss Extends Anaheim Losing Streak
The Portland Jaguars defeated the Anaheim Diamonds, 8-3, at Chrysler Canyon. Portland left fielder Will Robertson had a superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. The winning pitcher was Erick Fedde. He's now 4-5. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits for the Jaguars. Anaheim, at 34-43, has lost 6 straight.

Alex Bregman had a big 2-run double for the Jaguars in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Portland leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from 33-year old right-handed pitcher Ben Lively and swatted a double to right. It was his 22nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jaguars ahead, 5-2.

Afterward, Anaheim manager Michael Kirk said: "We've hit a rough patch."
