Minutemen Rally For Late Win Over Riptides
|
The Minutemen grabbed a win, 11-7, at IBM Field, overcoming a fine effort from Carolina pitcher Dylan Cease. Cease went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Drew Rasmussen claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 5-5. With the win, Boston pushed its record to 42-35.
Boston used the hitting of Kris Bryant to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Minutemen on top, 8-7. For the game, Bryant had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Feels good to get the job done," Bryant said after the game.
