St Louis Downed, 7-5, by Dragons
|
San Francisco center fielder Harrison Bader was a significant contributor in his team's 7-5 triumph over the St Louis Sluggers. He went 2-3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Dragons. San Francisco reliever Ryan Weathers picked up the win. Nate Pearson took the loss for St Louis. San Francisco is now 45-34, St Louis 45-34.
Had Jose Ramirez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ramirez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Dragons.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said San Francisco manager Joe Turnage.
