Demons Deal Sharks Painful Loss
Detroit second baseman Gabriel Arias collected 4 ribbies while his team bumped off the New York Sharks, 7-6, in 14 innings. Detroit reliever Alex Vesia picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Anthony Bender was saddled with the loss. After today's action, Detroit sits at 41-38; New York slips to 37-42.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 14th. With no one out, Arias hit a changeup from Anthony Bender for a run-scoring single. The Demons, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Glad to go home with a win," said Arias.
