Grichuk Hits Two Dingers, Stars Win, 8-3
|
The Cincinnati Stars defeated the Washington Hitmen, 8-3, at RFK Stadium. Cincinnati designated hitter Randal Grichuk had a superb performance. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. After today's action, Cincinnati sits at 34-46, while Washington falls to 37-43.
With Cincinnati leading 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Grichuk hit a curveball from Simeon Woods Richardson for a 2-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Stars ahead, 4-1.
"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Grichuk.
