Minnesota Dealt 4-3 Defeat
|
Shane McClanahan, who is tied for 9th in the FL in wins with 7, was locked in. The left-hander led the Tampa Bay Bandits to a 4-3 win against the Minnesota Millers at Tony Gwynn Memorial Field. The winner was A.J. Minter in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Jeff Hoffman took the loss. The Federal League Eastern Division-leading Bandits are 48-33.
Tampa Bay took a 4-3 lead on Aaron Judge's 11th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Judge hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Minnesota pitcher Jeff Hoffman visibly frustrated.
After the game, Tampa Bay manager George Hoffman applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
