Bandits catcher Adley Rutschman left his imprint on his team's 3-2 win over the Minnesota Millers. Rutschman was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Tampa Bay in the contest. Tampa Bay improves to 53-30 with the win. They lead their division by 9½ games.
Rutschman had a timely hit for Tampa Bay in the top of the sixth. With Tampa Bay trailing 2-0, he turned a 1-0 curveball into a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Tampa Bay.
"I was a little disappointed," said Minnesota manager Pierre Duschesnau. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
