Nike Field was host to some intense drama.

The Los Angeles Spirit used a great performance from Roki Sasaki, who is tied for 6th in the FL with a 10.7 K/9 rate, to beat the Tampa Bay Bandits, 2-1, at Nike Field. Los Angeles reliever Ethan Small picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Joe Jimenez was tagged with the loss.

Alex De Jesus was the walk-off hero for Los Angeles. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Spirit third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place sure got loud," said Bobby Kirkpatrick, the Los Angeles manager.

Los Angeles is now 30-53. Tampa Bay is 49-34.
