Minnesota and Carolina duked it out and the Millers came out victorious.

A 3-RBI performance from James Wood helped the Minnesota Millers beat the Carolina Riptides, 6-3. The win went to Taj Bradley in relief, making him now 1-1. Joel Payamps took the loss for Carolina.

Wood had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-2 changeup from Joel Payamps, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Millers a 4-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Wood.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Wood.

With the win, Minnesota upped its record to 45-39.
