Stars Rack Up 4-2 Win Versus Anaheim
|
Cincinnati pitcher Tyler Wells had a large part in his team beating the Anaheim Diamonds, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Colin Holderman got the save, his 14th in 18 chances. Anaheim has now lost 4 consecutive games.
The Stars got a big at-bat from first baseman Mark Vientos. For the game, Vientos was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 2-0 lead.
"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Anaheim manager Michael Kirk.
