Dragons Get 4-1 Win Versus Oakland
San Francisco pitcher Austin Gomber did his part in helping his team defeat the Oakland Roses, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. In 5.1 innings, Gomber surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed no runs. Mason Miller earned his 17th save in 18 chances.

The Dragons got a big at-bat from catcher Willson Contreras. For the game, Contreras was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 16th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 3-0 lead.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Oakland skipper Herb Pilgrim, "and it cost us."
