Houston Absorbs 4-1 Loss to Denver
|
Denver and Houston duked it out and the Bears came out victorious.
Denver turned a good effort from starter Seth Lugo into a win over the Houston Titans at Coors Field. The final score was 4-1. A.J. Puk was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 19 of 19 save opportunities.
Jonathan India, who is tied for 6th in the FL with a .308 batting average, took Houston hurler J.P. France deep in the bottom of the third. His solo home run put the Bears on top, 2-1. In all, India had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Houston manager Joe Smith.
The first-place Titans have dropped 4 straight games.
