Minutemen Suffer One-Run Loss at Chicago
The Chicago Explorers did just enough to sneak past the Boston Minutemen, 4-3, at Baron's Ballyard. Chicago pitcher Cade Horton, in particular, had a standout performance. Jeremiah Estrada recorded the save, making him 20 for 22. The win puts Chicago at 36-52.

Ildemaro Vargas had a big 2-run double for the Explorers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Chicago leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a cutter from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Riley O'Brien and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Explorers ahead, 4-0.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Boston manager Tony Byrne. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
