Phalanx Lose to Minutemen, 6-3
|
Spirited fans greeted the Philadelphia Phalanx for their clash with the Boston Minutemen.
Getting offensive support from Alex Call, the Boston Minutemen topped the Philadelphia Phalanx, 6-3. Call was 1-1 with 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Minutemen. The third-place Phalanx have dropped 5 straight games.
The Minutemen got a big at-bat from right fielder Anthony Santander. For the game, Santander went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 27th home run of the season gave Boston a 3-1 lead.
"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Philadelphia manager Stephen Esterhazy.
