Millers Win, 6-1, Versus Dragons
|
The Minnesota Millers got a marvelous performance from pitcher Justin Steele. The left-hander kept the San Francisco offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-1 Minnesota victory at Target Field. Steele, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Minnesota now has a record of 48-42 with the win.
The Millers had to work out of trouble in the top of the seventh. The score was 6-0, Minnesota, with two out. San Francisco, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Jazz Chisholm dug in at the plate, but on a first pitch fastball, he grounded out.
