The Pittsburgh Ironmen faced a tough opponent in Carolina pitcher Clayton Kershaw, but found a way to pull out the victory at PNC Park by a final score of 5-4 in 10 innings. Kershaw went 7 innings and allowed no runs. The triumph puts Pittsburgh at 50-46 for the season.

Pittsburgh got a knockout punch from Andrew Benintendi. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Benintendi.
