Titans Clip Roses, 4-3
|
New League Park played host to some real drama.
The Houston Titans did just enough to sneak past the Oakland Roses, 4-3, at New League Park. Houston pitcher Aaron Nola, in particular, had a standout performance. Houston has now won 5 straight, while the Roses have lost 3 in a row.
Starling Marte was the walk-off hero for Houston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Titans right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Nola.
