Hitmen Win at Home, 5-2
|
The Washington Hitmen reigned over the Baltimore Wildcats in damp conditions.
Getting offensive support from Luken Baker, the Washington Hitmen topped the Baltimore Wildcats, 5-2. Baker was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Hitmen. With the win, Washington pushed its record to 54-44.
Baker had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 changeup from Kyle Wright, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Hitmen a 5-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Baker.
After the game, Washington manager John Anderson applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
