San Francisco Beats Baltimore, 7-4
|
San Francisco picked up a win at Toyota Field, bumping off the Baltimore Wildcats, 7-4. Pitcher Walker Buehler was a major reason the Dragons emerged victorious. Buehler, now 5-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 4 runs. The win elevated the Dragons to 59-39.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ronald Acuna Jr.? The San Francisco right fielder had a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dragons on top, 7-4. For the game, Acuna Jr. had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Acuna Jr. said.
