Conditions were not ideal but Bronx and Pittsburgh were able to put their game in the books.

Pittsburgh pitcher Matt Boyd gave the Bombers all they could handle, but in the end, Bronx left PNC Park with a win, 2-1. Boyd allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 5.2 innings. Cole Sands was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 2 save opportunities.

Patrick Wisdom came through with a big-time hit for Bronx. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I like our mindset right now," said Bronx manager Jeremiah Coggins.

With the win, Bronx raised its record to 53-46.
