The San Francisco Dragons beat the Baltimore Wildcats, 6-5, at Toyota Field. Kyle Schwarber, in particular, was impressive. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Dustin May, the winner, improved to 7-4. He held the Wildcats to 2 runs on 3 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2. San Francisco now has a record of 60-39 with the win.
With San Francisco leading 5-2 in the top of the seventh, Schwarber hit a run-scoring single off Baltimore hurler Victor Vodnik. It was the 82nd hit of the season for Schwarber and put his team ahead, 6-2.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Schwarber.
