Ironmen Suffer 3-1 Road Loss
The Carolina Riptides beat the Pittsburgh Ironmen, 3-1. Carolina pitcher and The United States, native Dylan Cease led the way. Cease, now 12-6, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Matt Brash was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 22 save opportunities.

The Riptides got a big at-bat from shortstop Addison Barger. For the game, Barger went 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Carolina a 1-0 lead.

Cease said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

The win elevated the Riptides to 57-43.
